Program Overview
The Governor’s Office, in conjunction with Ken Garff Automotive Group, is please to announce its far-reaching incentive-based program for high-school students called “Keys to Success.” This innovative program provides administrators with the tools to motivate students to achieve academic success.

Here's How The Program Works
The Keys to Success program is administered through each participating high school. Students have the chance to qualify for a KeyCard that entitles them to incentive awards from several sponsors. The local high school administration is responsible for the exact qualifications, which may include improvement in any of the following areas:

  1. Grade Point Average (GPA)
  2. Improvement in Class Attendance
  3. Involvement in the Visual or Performing Arts
  4. Tutoring
  5. Volunteer Work

At Cyprus High School, each week teachers will award a Keys for Success ticket to any student who has turned in 100% of his/her assignments and attended 100% (no tardies or absences of any kind). Student will put their tickets into a box in the office. Tickets will be drawn out for prizes once each month. Winners of the drawing program will be eligible for car drawing. When student names are announced, the students will go to Counseling Center where they will recieve their key card and make a choice of prize on the internet.

A Key Card is in actuality, a gift certificate of sorts. The recipient of a Key Card can access this website (see Prizes) and choose from a myriad of tickets or vouchers for participation in any number of events. Teachers, Administration and Counselors can nominate recipients throughout the school year. The best part of the program happens at the end of the school year. This is where the Free Car comes in! During the last two months of school, the school administration, teachers and counselors may assemble and select 50 students from the pool of Key Card recipients at that school. These selected students will then randomly compete for a chance to win a car (valued at $4,000 to $5,000) at a Keys to Success year-end assembly.
